Help us purchase new youth hockey rental gear!
On Giving Tuesday, November 30, we kicked off a fundraising campaign to purchase rental equipment for our youth hockey program.
Youth Hockey Rental Gear Program
With Glacier Ice Rink back in full swing this season, we have nearly 600 kids in our travel, house and Learn to Play Hockey programs! Families in our programs are able to rent a complete set of hockey gear for the season at a cost of just $75. As any hockey parent can tell you, that’s much cheaper than purchasing gear kids will quickly outgrow.
The Need for New Gear
We have 175 kids renting gear this season, which means we are running out of gear. The gear we do have left doesn’t fit properly or is in poor shape and needs to be discarded. Thanks to generous donors, we have already purchased 40 pairs of new skates and are hoping to purchase 20 sets of additional gear – helmets, gloves, pants, shin and elbow guards and bags.
Help us Meet our Goal
Help us meet our $4,000 fundraising goal by donating through the form below.
Here’s what your tax-deductible donation does:
- $20 buys a pair of gloves, elbow pads or shin guards
- $40 buys one set of pants
- $50 buys a helmet with a cage
- $100 buys two bags to hold gear
- $200 outfits one child in head-to-toe gear (excluding skates)
Thank you for supporting our youth players!
Donate your Lightly-Used Gear
If you have used gear in good shape, you can donate that. We can use:
-
- Right-handed sticks
- Current HECC-certified helmets
- Protective gear that’s free of cracks, holes and has working velcro
