Registration Checklist
You will need to complete these tasks prior to (or during) the registration process:
- Email a scanned or photographed copy of player’s birth certificate or passport (if we don’t have one on file) to registrar@glaciericerink.com.
- Enter 2024-2025 USA Hockey number in DaySmart
- Review Player and Parent codes of conduct (online consent)
- Review Concussion Policy and Form (online consent)
Volunteer Obligation
All winter travel hockey registrations include a $250 volunteer obligation fee in addition to the registration fee. This fee helps keep registration costs affordable and can be paid upfront or “worked off” over the season. Online registrations require a stored credit or debit card, and any obligations, including lost or stolen jerseys, will be charged to the stored card at the end of the season.
NOTICE: The 2024-2025 season will be the final season of the volunteer fee structure. MAYHA will develop a new credit system that allows key volunteer positions to receive credit towards for their player’s registration fees. The youth hockey director will work with the Youth Hockey Committee to establish new policies and procedures for this system. If you have any questions, please contact the youth hockey director.
See the Volunteer Obligation page for more details
Communication
We primarily communicate through email. Unsubscribing from emails in the DaySmart system may cause you to miss program information and reminders. For SMS reminders, including weather closures, please provide your cell phone number and mobile carrier so you can receive text messages.
Unless you unsubscribe, we will add your email to our monthly Glacier Ice Rink email newsletter, which includes general announcements and events. You can unsubscribe from this newsletter and still receive youth hockey information.
Team managers use TeamSnap for team communication.
Financial Assistance
Financial aid is available for families needing help with registration fees. To apply, complete a Financial Assistance Application and return it via email or mail before the registration deadline or program start date. Financial aid covers up to 2/3 of the registration fee but does not cover the volunteer obligation amount. Players should still register before the deadline and select the payment plan option. If awarded, the financial aid will be applied to the remaining balance.
We also offer the Colin Moffatt Snodgrass scholarship, which is awarded to a travel player and house player each season. See the scholarship page for complete details.
Equipment Rental
Rental equipment appointments for the 2024-2025 season will be available starting in late August.
Rental equipment is available for $75 per player for the season. Equipment rental is staffed by volunteers and is available through appointment only.
Schedule an appointment HERE.
