Program Details

Our Bantam/High School House League is open to players of all skill levels—whether you’re just starting out, have some experience, or are a seasoned player – veryone is welcome. Our coaches and administrators are dedicated to creating balanced teams to ensure an enjoyable experience for all while also considering requests for friends to play together.

The primary goal of this league is simple: FUN. We aim to foster a love of the game in a supportive and friendly environment, helping players make lasting memories and embrace “hockey for life.” Whether you’re here to enjoy the game or make new friends, this league has something for everyone.

Teams play one game each week and conclude the season with a best-of-three series championship. Players are placed on teams within the first two weeks of the season and receive jerseys that must be returned at season end. Team assignments will be completed AFTER the first 4 practices/evaluations.

Registration Checklist

You will need to complete these tasks prior to (or during) the registration process:

Registration

Players will need a 2024-2025 USA Hockey number to register for fall programs. This is done at an additional cost directly through USA Hockey. Please please make sure to register your player using their FULL legal name as it appears on their birth certificate. Legal names are required by the registrar and all players must provide a birth certificate if they have not submitted one in a prior season. If your family needs assistance covering the USA Hockey membership fee, you may apply for a USA Hockey Membership Relief Fund Grant.

Register online through our DaySmart Recreation System. When registering, make sure to have your player’s name selected from the dropdown menu. Daysmart will only show programs your player is age-eligible for. You may either pay the registration fee in full or set up a payment plan.

See our Financial Policies for information on registration refunds.

Additional Information

Volunteer Obligation

All winter house hockey registrations include a $150 volunteer obligation fee in addition to the registration fee. This fee helps keep registration costs affordable for players. The fee can be paid in full when registering or “worked off” over the season. Online registrations require a stored credit or debit card, and any obligations will be charged to the stored card at the end of the season.

NOTICE: The 2024-2025 season is the final season of the volunteer fee structure. MAYHA will develop a new credit system that allows key volunteer positions to receive credit towards their player’s registration fees. The youth hockey director will work with the Youth Hockey Committee to establish new policies and procedures for this system. If you have any questions, please contact the youth hockey director.

See the Volunteer Obligation page for more details

Financial Assistance

Financial aid is available for families needing help with registration fees. To apply, complete a Financial Assistance Application and return it via email or mail before the registration deadline or program start date. Financial aid covers up to 2/3 of the registration fee but does not cover the volunteer obligation amount. Players should still register before the deadline and select the payment plan option. If awarded, the financial aid will be applied to the remaining balance.

We also offer the Colin Moffatt Snodgrass scholarship, which is awarded to a travel player and house player each season. See the scholarship page for complete details.

Both programs are funded through donations. If you would like to donate to the Financial Assistance Fund, you may do so when you register, or donate through our website.

Equipment Rental

Rental equipment appointments for the 2024-2025 season will be available starting in late August.

Rental equipment is available for $75 per player for the season. Equipment rental is staffed by volunteers and is available through appointment only. Families with multiple players should make one appointment per player to allow adequate time for fittings.
