Zamboni Retirement Campaign
The Need
Glacier Ice Rink has three Zamboni ice resurfacing machines – a primary one for the inside rink, one for the outside rink and a backup when the other two fail. All three Zambonis are aging, which has caused unexpected malfunctions in our operations. When this happens, it delays the ice schedule, inconveniences our players and skaters, and adversely affects ice conditions. To ensure efficiency in our operations, we are in need of a new Zamboni. This will become our primary machine, while still giving us two back-ups and allowing us to retire the oldest one.
A new resurfacing machine costs $120,000. We received a $10,000 donation to kick off the fundraising campaign and raised money from Big Sky Brewing concerts last summer.
Donate Now!
We are asking our community to help us raise the remaining $100,000 by May 2019. This gives us time to order a new machine and have it in time for the 2019-2020 season. Donations of $100 or more will be acknowledged on signage displayed at the rink, but any amounts are greatly appreciated!
If you’d like to sponsor the Zamboni, please contact Laura.
