Parking volunteers needed for summer concerts
Glacier Ice Rink needs volunteers to help with parking lot staffing at six Kettlehouse Amphitheater shows this summer:
June 30 – String Cheese Incident
July 16 – Lyle Lovett
July 26 – the Decemberists
August 2 – Ween
August 9 – Robert Plant & Alison Krauss
August 14 – O.A.R
We need eight volunteers (ages 18+) for each show – four for the opening shift and four for the closing shift. The shifts involve directing incoming cars to parking lot spaces and managing the exit process at the end of the show. In exchange, you can go in to watch the concert you work for free! Opening volunteers can go into the show after their shift. Closing volunteers must arrive at the stated time, but can go into the show before their shift (must come back out to parking lot before show ends).
The Amphitheater donates $750 per show to Glacier Ice Rink in exchange for providing volunteers. All funds raised from this activity will go toward our youth hockey financial assistance fund. This fund provides financial aid to families who are in need of assistance with their child’s registration fees. This activity counts toward the volunteer obligation for youth hockey parents.
