Board Nominations due – Oct. 1
The Missoula Area Youth Hockey Association (MAYHA), the nonprofit organization that operates Glacier Ice Rink and its associated youth and adult hockey programs, will hold its annual meeting on Wednesday, October 21 via Zoom. In addition to discussing future rink plans, board directors will be elected at the meeting.
As detailed in the MAYHA bylaws “Any member of the Association may be nominated as a candidate for the Board by submitting a nomination petition to the Secretary of the Association signed by no less than twenty active members of the Association endorsing the candidacy.” An active member is defined as: “(1) a parent, step-parent, guardian, or other person who pays at least fifty percent of the fee of any child participating in youth ice sport league programs operated by MAYHA; or (2) any registered participant in adult ice sport league programs operated by MAYHA; or (3) Anyone appointed as a member at the discretion of the Board.”
Anyone wishing to be placed on the ballot for candidacy for the MAYHA Board of Directors must submit a nomination form, with the required 20 signatures, to the MAYHA board. Completed forms may be scanned and emailed to info@glaciericerink.com or dropped off at the rink office. Forms must be received by 10 pm on October 1.
